Turns out, there is already a 'Life on Manitoulin' blog/site - just with a different domain extension. What can I say? Great minds think alike. Or, if you prefer the German version: 2 Dumme, 1 Gedanke (which translates to 2 dummies, 1 idea). So, in the interest of not causing more confusion than absolutely necessary, the web address of THIS site has changed to 'www.manitoulinsunshine.ca' :) I'll still need to rework the logo, etc.
